GENERAL INFORMATION
The second edition Souvenir Marcel Gilles consists in a series of regional road cycling races that are organized on Sunday, June 24, 2018 according to the rules of the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) and the Fédération du Sport Cycliste Luxembourgeois (FSCL).
Organizer is the cycling club ACC Contern, represented by Mr. Alain Conter, 47 Op der Hobuch, L-5832 Fentange, Tel: (+352) 621 23 16 45, e-mail acccontern@gmail.com).
The event is held in Contern with Start and Finish being located in the rue de Moutfort, in front of the church.
All offices are situated in the former primary school in Contern, rue de Moutfort next to the church.

A closing ceremony with prize distribution for the elite/U23/juniors/masters race is held at around 19h00 o’clock next to the former primary school in Contern (rue de Moutfort next to the church).
Radio-Tour frequency is 157,610 Mh.
Traffic regulations have to be respected strictly.

REGISTRATION
Pre-registration. for the different races is recommended. It can be done online on the internet-site of the FSCL or by sending a message to the organizer (e-mail acccontern@gmail.com) with following information: Name, First Name, UCI-Code, Team or Club, Category, Gender, Nationality and Year of Birth.
If you are in possession of a transponder that works with the MyLaps system, please use it during the race and provide the code of the transponder upon registration.

REGULATIONS MINIMES
It is a regional race registered in the national calendar of the FSCL and it is open for riders of the category minimes (male and female).
The race is held as a road race over a total distance of 27 km (3 laps of 9 km). The total change of altitude is 3 x 113 = 339 m.
Only one common result list is edited for the race, in which the position of each rider within his category (male or female) is indicated.
No team cars are allowed to follow the riders. Two neutral cars will be in the race to help in case of mechanical problems.
The award ceremony will take place after the finish on the podium next to the finish line. The three best riders of the race and the best female rider have to attend it.
Prices are according to the FSCL regulations (table 01).
Prizes can be picked up as of 12h30 in the office at the former primary school in Contern, rue de Moutfort next to the church.

REGULATIONS CADETS
It is a regional race registered in the national calendar of the FSCL and it is open for riders of the category cadets (male and female).
The race is held as a road race over a total distance of 36 km (4 laps of 9 km). The total change of altitude is 4 x 113 = 452 m.
Only one common result list is edited for the race, in which the position of each rider within his category (male or female) is indicated.
No team cars are allowed to follow the riders. Two neutral cars will be in the race to help in case of mechanical problems.
The award ceremony will take place after the finish on the podium next to the finish line. The three best riders of the race and the best female rider have to attend it.
Prices are according to the FSCL regulations (table 02).
Prizes can be picked up as of 12h30 in the office at the former primary school in Contern, rue de Moutfort next to the church.

REGULATIONS NOVICES
It is a regional race registered in the national calendar of the FSCL and it is open for riders of the category novices (male).
The race is held as a road race over a total distance of 54 km (6 laps of 9 km). The total change of altitude is 6 x 113 = 678 m.
No team cars are allowed to follow the riders. Two neutral cars will be in the race to help in case of mechanical problems.
The award ceremony will take place after the finish on the podium next to the finish line. The three best riders of the race have to attend it.
Prices are according to the FSCL regulations (table 03).
Prizes can be picked up as of 15h30 in the office at the former primary school in Contern, rue de Moutfort next to the church.

REGULATIONS WOMEN ELITE/U23/JUNIORS/NOVICES
It is a regional race registered in the national calendar of the FSCL and it is open for riders of the different women's categories (elite/U23/juniors/novices).
The race is held as a road race over a total distance of 63 km (7 laps of 9 km) for the categories elite/U23/juniors. The total change of altitude is 7 x 113 = 793 m. The female novice riders will stop the race one loop earlier, after 6 laps (54 km).
Two result lists are edited for the race, one for the categories Elite, U23 and juniors, in which the position of each rider within his category is indicated, and one for the female novice riders.
No team cars are allowed to follow the riders. Two neutral cars will be in the race to help in case of mechanical problems.
The award ceremony will take place after the finish on the podium next to the finish line. The three first riders of the race as well as the best novice, the best junior and the best U23 rider have to attend it.
Prices are according to the FSCL regulations (table 06).
Prizes can be picked up as of 15h30 in the office at the former primary school in Contern, rue de Moutfort next to the church.

REGULATIONS MEN ELITE/U23/JUNIORS/MASTERS
It is a regional race registered in the national calendar of the FSCL and it is open for riders of the categories elite and U23 (male).
Riders of the categories juniors and masters can also participate in the race
The race is held as a road race over a total distance of 99 km (11 laps of 9 km). The total change of altitude is 11 x 113 = 1.243 m.
Only one common result list is edited for the race, in which the position of each rider within his category (elite, U23, juniors, masters) is indicated.
A meeting of the team directors is planned at 14h40 o’clock in the former primary school in Contern, rue de Moutfort next to the church.
The award ceremony will take place after the finish on the podium next to the finish line. The three best riders of the race, the best rider from Luxemburg, the first U23 rider, the first junior and the first master have to attend it.
Prizes are according to the FSCL regulations (table 05).
Prizes will be handed out during the closing ceremony at about 19h00 o’clock at the former primary school in Contern, rue de Moutfort next to the church.
