The 34th Grand-Prix Comat is a series of cyclo-cross races open to following categories: elite women, U23 women, junior women, junior men and novices (male / female).
The races for the categories juniors and women (including U23 women and juniors) are international races on the UCI calendar (C2 – Class 2). Masters are not allowed to line up with the juniors as the race is an international one. The race for novices (m/f) is a regional race on the FSCL calendar
Starts of the different categories are in Contern according to following schedule:
12h00 – Novices (male / female) (regional cyclo-cross)
13h00 – Junior men (MJ UCI C2 – Class 2)
14h00 – Elite, U23 and junior women (WE UCI C2 – Class 2)
The duration of the race has to approach 30 minutes as much as possible for the novices (m/f), 40 minutes as much as possible for the juniors and 45 minutes for the female categories. The exact number of laps to be covered will be decided by the jury during the event.
Three separate result lists are established, one for the novices (m/f), one for the elite, U23 and junior women and one for the junior men category. (There are no separate rankings for female novices, for U23 women and for junior women)
The award ceremony takes place immediately after the finish on the podium next to the finish line. The three first riders of the races for novices, women and juniors have to attend it as well as the first female novice, the best junior woman and the best U23 woman if they are not already on the podium.
Prizes are according to the FSCL and UCI regulations and can be picked up about an hour after the finish of each race at the permanent office.
