GENERAL INFORMATION
The 17th Gala Tour de France is organized by the ACC Contern on Sunday, August 3rd, 2014 according to the rules of the Fédération du Sport Cycliste Luxembourgeois (FSCL) and the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI).
The event is held at the place called Um BELVAL, on the ground of the municipalities of Sanem and Esch-sur-Alzette, with Start and Finish being in the avenue du Rock ‘n Roll, next to the building called Rockha.

REGULATIONS (invitational criterium)

It is an international invitational race registered in the calendar of the FSCL and it is open for riders of the categories elite and U23 with or without contract.
Only riders that have concluded a preliminary contract with the ACC Contern are allowed to participate.
The event will be held as a traditionnal road race. Winner is the rider who crosses the finish line in first place after the number of laps fixed by the jury.
The race lasts for two hours. The eventual number of laps to be comleted will be fixed by the jury during the race.
A complementary points classification is established. Points can be collected in the intermediate sprints that take place each 5 laps and according to the following rules: 3 points to the first rider, 2 points to the second and 1 point to the third rider. The most aggressive rider will also be selected and awarded by the organizer.
No assistance car is allowed on the circuit, except those of the organizer.
Material pits will be next to the finish line.
In case of accident or mechanical problem, a rider can profit from one neutralized lap if he stops in the material pits. After the neutralization, the rider resumes the race, but he can't collect any points in the next intermediate sprint.
A meeting between riders and organizers takes place on Sunday, August 3rd at 16h20 at the premises of FONDS BELVAL - 1, avenue du Rock‘n Roll, L-4361 Esch/Alzette. Every rider has to attend this meeting, where the back numbers will also be handled out after licence control.
The official presentation of the riders is at 16h45 o'clock on and around the podium next to the start- and finish area. All contenders have to attend this presentation.
The award ceremony takes place immediately after the race on the podium car next to the finish. The three first riders of the race, the best Luxemburgish rider, the winner of the points classification and the most agressive rider have to attend it.

It is a regional race registered in the national calendar of the FSCL and it is open for riders of the elite and U23 categories
Juniors and Masters can also participate in the race.
According the the regulations of the FSCL, the following riders are able to participate: contenders of Luxemburgish
teams, contenders of maximum three foreign teams (non UCI Continental Teams), as well as teams or individual riders of the following countries or
regions: Grand-Duchy of Luxemburg, Rheinland-Pfalz, Saarland, the provinces of Liège, Luxembourg and Namur as well
as the départements Moselle, Meurthe et Moselle, Meuse and Vosges
ATTENTION : The Luxemburgish Cycling Federation (FSCL) can forbid a foreign rider to participate in the race if he
hasn't the necessary written authorisation from his own National or Regional Federation to line up in that race
The race is held as a criterium over a distance of 72 km (40 laps of 1,8 km). The winner is the rider who has accomplished the biggest amount of laps, in case of egality, the result is based on the points collected during the intermediate sprints, then on the number of wins in intermediate sprints and then on the position in the final sprint to the finish line.
Intermidiate sprints are held after each 5 laps and the points are awarded as follows: 15, 10, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 points according to the position on the line.
No assistance car is allowed on the circuit, except those of the organizer.
Material pits will be next to the finish line.

The award ceremony takes place immediately after the race on the podium car next to the finish. The three first riders of the race, the best junior and the best U23 rider have to attend it.
Prices are according to the FSCL regulations and they are handed out at the permanent office at 15h30.
REGULATIONS (novices / women)
