On June 5th, 2016, the ACC Contern acted as technical organisator of "Uphill Challenge" race, together with the promoter of the charity event, Uphill Challenge asbl. The goal of the event was to raise money for granting wishes of children (between 3 and 18 years) living with a life-threatening illness by completing a 236m climb at the Hostert Charly’s Gare as fast and as much as possible within 3 hours.

The participation costs were free and it was possible to participate as an individual or in a relay team of maximum 5 riders. Nevertheless we encouraged all participants to commit themselves to find sponsors to participate in the fund rise according to their performance.

The course is approximately 1 km long, including the famous climb of Hostert with 30m change of altitude. The maximum slope is 14,5%
