La 19ème Charly Gaul is organized by the ACC Contern on Sunday, September 7, 2008. Is is a cyclosport-race (brevet cyclosportif) authorized by the Fédération du Sport Cycliste Luxembourgeois (FSCL) and registered in the international calendar of the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). The race is open for every cyclist older than 14 years.
Each participant must pay the registration fee cash on Saturday, September 6, 2008 or on Sunday, September 7, 2008 before getting his backnumber.
The riders are considered as normal traffic participants and have to apply strictly to the traffic regulations. If they don't, they will be responsible for possible caused damage. The organizer is not responsible for any damage.
The course will be indicated by signs and has to be followed strictly.
Insurances have to be contracted by the participants. The organizer is not responsible for any damage caused by an accident.
Assistance cars are not allowed on the course. Participants that are followed by assistance cars will be disqualified.
The participants have to wear a helmet.
The participants have to wear the backnumber and transponder that they receive from the organizer. The transponder helps to establish the classifications and to do controls on the course.
A number to put onto the helmet is also handled out. This number is required in order to set-up a photo-service.
The participants have to handle back the “transponder” immediately after the race in the finish area.
Each participant has to cross the start line after the official start in order to be listed in the result list. Times will be taken at the start/finish line.
Diplomas are handled out on request in a bus near the finish line. They are available shortly after your arrival.
Following the rules of the ministry for transport, riders that are more than 1 hour behind the leader will be informed by a car of the organizer ("FIN DE COURSE"). At that moment, the streets and crossroads will no longer be guarded by the police or race marshalls, but the riders can of course finish the race and if they do so, they will appear on the result list.
If these regulations are not followed by a participant, he will be disqualified.
By his registration, each participant takes knowledge of the regulations.
