La 18ème Charly Gaul - 16.09.2007 - Contern

Regulations:

  • La 18ème Charly Gaul is organized by the ACC Contern on Sunday, September 16, 2007. Is is a cyclosport-race (brevet cyclosportif) authorized by the Fédération du Sport Cycliste Luxembourgeois (FSCL) and registered in the international calendar of the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). The race is open for every cyclist older than 14 years.

  • The handling out of the back-numbers and the race-documents is on Saturday, September 15, 2007 between 14h00 and 18h00 o'clock as well as on Sunday, Septermber 16, 2007, between 6h30 and 8h00.

  • Each participant must pay the registration fee cash on Saturday, September 15, 2007 or on Sunday, September 16, 2007 when before getting his backnumber.

  • The riders are considered as normal traffic participants and have to apply strictly to the traffic regulations. If they don't, they will be responsible for possible caused damage. The organizer is not responsible for any damage.

  • The course will be indicated by signs and has to be followed strictly.

  • Insurances have to be contracted by the participants. The organizer is not responsible for any damage caused by an accident.

  • Assistance cars are not allowed on the course. Participants that are followed by assistance cars will be disqualified.

  • The participants have to wear a helmet.

  • The participants have to wear the backnumber and transponder that they receive from the organizer.

  • The participants have to handle back the “transponder” they have received with their backnumber immediately after the race. As a guarantee, they will have to leave a bank account to the organizer and in case the transponder is not handled back, the bank account will be charged by 100 EUR.

  • Following the rules of the ministry for transport, riders that are more than 2 hours behind the leader will be informed by a car of the organizer ("FIN DE COURSE"). At that moment, the streets and crossroads will no longer be guarded by the police or race marshalls, but the riders can of course finish the race.

  • If these regulations are not followed by a participant, he will be disqualified.

  • By his registration, each participant takes knowledge of the regulations.


  • La Charly Gaul A

  • Start of the race is at 8h45o'clock in Contern. The finish is open until 17h00 o'clock.

  • Registration fees 25 Euro in case of pre-registration (online, per postal mail or per fax). 30 Euro in case of post-registration on Saturday, September 15, 2007 or Sunday, September 16, 2007.

  • Registration fees have to be paid at the handling out of the race-documents and back-numbers in the permanent office. It gives the right to a diploma, a backnumber, food and security on the course.

  • A scratch classification is established as well as seperate classifications for the different categories.

  • The categories are following: A: women 14-17 years / B: women 18-39 years / C: women 40 years and more / D: men 14-17 years / E: men 18-29 years / F: men 30-39 years / G: men 40- 49 years / H: men 50-59 years / I: men 60 years and more /

  • King of the Mountains is the one rider who sets the fastest time from the bottom to the top of the climb number 3 between Untereisenbach (km 73) and Wahlhausen (km 78). This is also an control point for all the riders of the A-course: RIDERS WHO ARE NOT LISTED IN THE KING OF THE MOUNTAIN CLASSIFICATION CANNOT BE IN THE OFFICIAL A-RANKINGS OF THE EVENT. Other controls will be held on different points of the course to prevent from cheating.

  • race-jerseys, cups and flowers will be handled out to the first riders in the scratch classification as well as in the different categories.


  • La Charly Gaul A

  • Start of the race is at 10h00o'clock in Contern. The finish is open until 17h00 o'clock.

  • Registration fees 15 Euro in case of pre-registration (online, per postal mail or per fax). 20 Euro in case of post-registration on Saturday, September 15, 2007 or Sunday, September 16, 2007.

  • Registration fees have to be paid at the handling out of the race-documents and back-numbers in the permanent office. It gives the right to a diploma, a backnumber, food and security on the course.

  • A scratch classification is established as well as seperate classification for ladies.

  • race-jerseys, cups and flowers will be handled out to the first riders in the scratch classification as well as to the first ladies.

  • Only riders that have no licence in a cycling federation can participate in the B-race, except leisure cyclists (cyclo-touristes) and women.
