85th Grand-prix François Faber - 05.08.2007 - Luxembourg

Regulations:

  • The 85th Grand-prix François Faber is organized by the ACC Contern on Sunday, August 5, 2007 according to the regulations of the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) and the Fédération du Sport Cycliste Luxembourgeois (FSCL). The start of the race is at 12h30 o'clock in Luxembourg-town (avenue de la Liberté) and the finish is 40 laps or 38 kilometers later in the same place.

  • The start and finish are situated in the avenue de la Liberté next to the place des Martyrs (Rousegärtchen)

  • It is a regional race registered in the national calendar of the FSCL and it is open for riders of the categories novices, women and juniors .

  • Riders of the masters category are also allowed to line up in the event. They will appear in the junior results

  • According the the regulations of the FSCL, juniors, masters, novices and women of the following regions are able to participate: Grand-Duchy of Luxemburg, Rheinland-Pfalz, Saarland, the provinces of Liège, Luxembourg and Namur as well as the départements Moselle, Meurthe et Moselle, Meuse and Vosges.

  • ATTENTION: The Luxemburgish Cycling Federation (FSCL) can forbid a foreing rider to participate in the race if he hasn't the necessary written authorisation from his own National or Regional Federation to participate in that race.

  • Two seperate result lists are established, one for the categories women/novices and one for the categories juniors/masters.

  • The event will be held as a critérium. Winner of the race is the rider who has accomplished the biggest number of laps. If more riders are in the same lap, the number of collected points are deciding. After that, the number of wins in the intermediate sprints are taken into account and at last, the place in the final sprint is deciding. A lap is gained if a rider joins the end of the main peloton.

  • Points can be collected in the intermediate sprints that take place each 10 laps and according to the following rules: 5 points to the first rider, 4 points to the second, 3 points to the third, 2 points for the fourth and 1 point for the fifth rider. In the final sprint, the points are doubled.

  • No assistance car is allowed on the circuit, except those of the organizer.

  • Material pits will be next to the finish line. They will be controlled by a commissaire

  • In case of accident or mechanical problem, a rider can profit from maximum two neutralized laps if he stops in the material pits. After the neutralization, the rider resumes the race, but he can't collect any points in the next intermediate sprint.

  • The permanent office is situated in the official bus, on the place des Martyrs (Rousegärtchen), next to the rue Saint-Zithe, and it is open from 10h00 to 16h00 o'clock. Registration and handling out of the back numbers takes place there on Sunday, August 5, 2007 between 11h00 and 12h00 o'clock.

  • Possible Anti-doping controls take place in the changing rooms of the sports hall at the primary school in the rue du Commerce (entrance at the crossing of rue du Commerce and rue de Strasbourg)

  • The award ceremony takes place immediately after the race on the podium car next to the finish. The three first riders of the category novice, the three first riders of the category juniors, the first lady and the first masters rider have to attend it.

  • Prices are according to the FSCL regulations
