Because of organisational reasons, mainly related to the time-shedule of the Gala Tour de France, it was impossible for the ACC Contern to maintain the 83rd Grand-Prix François Faber at its initial date of August 14, 2005. Therefore, the organizers have delayed the race to September 17, 2005, the day before the Charly Gaul cyclosport-race.
