Kim has taken advantage on the Rabobank-team in the last stage of the race, in a Hollywood-like supense. He has been on the attack the whole day with Michael Boogaerd, team-mate of the leader Erik Dekker. In the last kilometers, the Dutchman did not relay any more, and a poursuit-match between Kim an Erik Dekker, who was leading a small group at a few kilometers behind him, took place. At the end, Boogaerd took the victory of the stage, but Kim gained the lead in the overall qualification. But this, he would know it only minutes later, when he was called for the victory ceremony.

By beating Mauro Gianetti, Laurent Paumier and Dave Bruylandts on the finish line, Kim has taken a fine victory in the Swiss Race. The four man left the main bunch a few kilometers before the end, and maintained a few seconds advantage.
